Surprise Sprinkle May 6, 2012

Stacey and Ryan made a trip to Atlanta to visit us this weekend.  It was such an awesome weekend, although it went by WAY to fast!    We headed to West Egg Cafe for brunch on Saturday (always a winner!) and then Stacey suprised me by taking me to Natural Body Spa in the afternoon. Low and behold, when we arrived we were greeted our wonderful friends that hosted a  surprise co- baby shower for Becky and I….we’re only a few weeks apart and are both having boys.  Becky and I were super suprised to say the least!  It was something so unexpected and so incredibly thoughtful of everyone.  Malinda, Heidi, Stephanie G., Stephanie J., Julie, Natasha, Jenn, Erika, Stacey and Becky’s’ mom and cousin all did such an amazing job.  Lisa and Jennie were their in spirit and they made an amazing diaper cake for baby Kai.  We all got pampered with relaxing pedicures and everyone was really generous with their gifts and adorable baby clothes.  I’m so appreciative to have such wonderful friends!

I realize I haven’t posted any pictures of my growing belly this pregnancy.  So for anyone that is wondering, it IS getting bigger and bigger and FAST!  I feel like he has quadrupled in size during the past 2 weeks….not only that, he is super active kicking up a storm.  Thankfully I have been feeling terrific! I’ve had lots of energy and have been taking a prenatal yoga class with a fellow pregnant friend which has been getting us into tip top shape!

Girls Weekend in the Big Apple September 27, 2010

My girlfriends in Atlanta decided to make a trip to the Big Apple this past weekend.  It was so wonderful to see my sister and spend time with the girls exploring the city. Heidi, Lisa, Sarah and I all flew out on Friday for the weekend and tried to immerse ourselves in the Sex and the City lifestyle.  On Friday, we headed to happy hour with my sister, her boyfriend Ted and their coworkers at Manitoba’s, a cool dive bar in Alphabet City.  We enjoyed tapas and sangrias at Esparanto’s, a cute Brazilain restaurant before calling it a night so we  could get some rest before a fun filled day on Saturday.  We started the day off by people watching in Central Park, followed by a stroll down Fifth Avenue.  Aura brought us to her company store at Loreal so we could stock up on beautifying goodies and products.  We walked down to Wall Street and then ended the afternoon enjoying food cart grub at the South Street Seaport where we could see Brooklyn Bridge.  Saturday night we headed to Brooklyn for a house party and sushi and ended the night with dancing at the China Room.  It was an amazing weekend with Aura and friends….can’t wait to go back soon!

Party in the Park September 12, 2010

The past few years I have been organizing a big picnic in the park for Turner employees and their friends and families. This year we called it Party in the Park and it was just that.  Close to 4,000 guests showed up and the day was filled with entertainment, food and games.  We had a live band, DJ, chair massages, cotton candy, carnival games and more!  Trevor and Maylee and Heidi and Kendrick came out for a few hours.  What a great Day!

Girls Night Out August 24, 2010

It’s always important to still have girls night out!  Lisa, Heidi, Jenny, Anna and I had an eventful evening, starting out with tapas and drinks at Eclipse de Luna, followed by dancing at the Gold Room, and ending the evening at Landmark Diner for a 3am meal.  What a great evening!

It’s My Birthday! May 23, 2010

It’s my Birthday!…well, not really for 2 more days, but didn’t stop me from celebrating my birthday a few days early.  Friday evening Trevor’s parents took me out for a birthday celebration at Silk for some scrumptious Asian fare. Maylee was a little angel and didn’t make a peep too (yes, we will take advantage of being able to take her to restaurants in her car seat while she’s still this young!!).  Saturday, Trevor threw me a birthday soiree with our friends at our house….We all had a great time hanging out at our place before heading to El Taco in the Highlands.  Thanks everyone for making my birthday so special….I look forward to turning 22 next year!

Girls weekend May 3, 2010

Trevor and I feel so fortunate to have wonderful family and friends. My best friends from college, Sarah, Stacey and Hannah, have been truly amazing girls and I can’t imagine life without them. It’s not often you can get us 4 girls together …with Sarah heading to Philly for her combined internship/residency, Hannah starting a graduate degree program in the fall, Stacey having an unpredictable schedule at Loyola and me being a new mom….BUT we made it happen in Chicago this past weekend!  We made the most of our short time together by relaxing, shopping around and going out for brunch. Saturday night, Stacey whipped up some mean mojitors before we went out for tapas and dancing.   Here are some pictures from the weekend festivities…
